My name is Mai Dao Vang. I am a licensed Permanent Makeup Artist located here in Oakdale, Minnesota. My passion has always been fashion and beauty, you know, girly things. I grew up playing with makeup and I think that’s how I ended up being a makeup artist. I feel great when I can make someone else feel beautiful and that’s why I’ve pursued this career - the world of permanent cosmetics! It really is rewarding!
My journey started in the fall of 2019, when I actually got my own eyebrows tatted. That’s when I thought, “OMG, this is really life changing! I don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier!” Like as in why I didn’t start my journey earlier, and of course, getting my brows tatted earlier. Well, to be specific, I’ve ALWAYS wanted to become a LICENSED makeup artist or become some kind of business owner in the beauty field, but I was too afraid of the severe criticism that I can possibly face. I don’t like being let down because I already gave my all, what could I have possibly done wrong? Well giiiiiirl! Let me tell you something, was I sooooo wrong! When you put your heart into something that is really meant for you, you don’t give a damn about what others have to say about your work! Ladies, let me tell you, I took all the courage I never knew I had and QUIT my full-time job to do brows full time & guess what??!! It was sooo worth it!!! Because from there on out, the other side of the world was all unicorns and rainbows!
My creative side also lead me to intrigue in Fine Line Tattoos, in which I took a course in the beginning of 2021, and started tattooing tiny tattoos in late 2021! Boy was that a ride! Every piece is so different and fun to do! Wanting to be better at what I do, I flew to Arizona, mid 2023, to take an advanced course on Fine Line Tattoos. My fiery passion also intrigued a deeper dive into the PMU world by adding eyeliner as another service in 2024. I always love a good challenge.
I am where I am today because of you guys. I appreciate allllllll of my supporters so so much & I love you all so so much! Brows by MDV is exclusively offering semi-permanent cosmetic services in Ombre, Nano Combo brows, Eyeliner, and body art Fine Line Tattoos. A touch up following the initial session (cosmetic tattoos) is highly recommended to complete the desired look (recommended within 3 months). From there on out, we always recommend a touch up in 18-24 months to keep them fresh. *My oily babes will need to come in sooner than the suggested times.

Ombre | $600
“Wake up and go”
Ombre uses a different technique to create a powdery makeup look. Brows will look softer at the front of the brow and going darker towards the tail creating a bold or softly filled in brows depending on your preference. This is ideal for someone who wants to wake up and go and not have to worry about not having to fill in their brows. This style is suitable for all skin types.
Initial session only, touch up is not included.

Nano Combo | $750
“Wake up and go”
Nano Combo consists of strokes in the front and shading for the rest of the brows, blending seamlessly. Similar to Microshading, strokes are created with a tattoo gun. Because of the technique, the retention is better and less abrasive to the skin. This is ideal for someone who wants it still natural, but also always looks clean and fresh. This style is suitable for all skin types.

Brow Perfecting Sessions

We only offer perfecting sessions on brows that were previously done by Brows by MDV.
$100 | 1-3 Months Follow Up Touch-Up must be scheduled within 1-3 months from your last session.
$150 | 4-12 Months Touch Up must be scheduled within 4-12 months from your last session.
$250 | 1-2 Year Touch Up must be scheduled within 13-24 months from your last session.
$350 | 2-3 Year Touch Up must be scheduled within 25-36 months from your last session.
$450 | 3-4 Year Touch Up must be scheduled within 37-48 months from your last session.
$$$$ | Anything beyond 4 years will be charged as a new set.

Eyeliner

$300 | Lash Enhancement – Lash line enhancement is an ultra-realistic, subtle tattoo placed only in the lash line for a darker edge to your lashes.
$350 | Sleek Liner – Winged eyeliner extends past the lash line with a tiny flick outward to create a wing, enhancing eye shape and size.
$400 | Smokey Liner – The ultimate in flexibility and result, dusty shadow gives the look of eyeliner with a soft application of powder, you can even add a wing.

Fine Line Tattoos
Fine line tattoos are curved and straight lines and represent more of the form and outline in the tattoo. It can still offer details without shade and color.
Also known as small tattoos, fine line tattoos are intended to be as thin as possible, which can make the ink more susceptible to disruption during the healing process. Design, placement, skin type, and after care world also play a role in the healed results of fine line tattoo.
Please note that placement on the palm of hands, fingers, feet, neck, and cartilages generally require several touch ups to achieve the desired retention.
A touch-up is NOT required, but may be needed due to such thin & intricate lines.
