BROW AFTERCARE (Eyeliner and Fine Line Tattoo at the bottom)

What to do: (To achieve the desired brows, follow these instructions for 10 days or until you are done peeling)

  • For dry skin: Apply a thin layer of ointment to brows once a day for the first 3 days. Only apply the necessary amount to prevent brows from being dry, tight, or itchy. “If you don’t need it, don’t apply it!

  • For combination to oily skin: Do not apply anything on the brows!

  • If you find any lymphatic fluid or blood weeping, gently blot it dry with a clean wet paper towel or unscented wet/water wipes to remove any moisture.

  • You may shower as usual, but avoid standing directly under the showerhead with your face in the water. You may get your brows wet, but be cautious of excessive water (for ex: no swimming). AVOID taking long, hot, and steamy showers.

  • Gently wash around brows and lightly cleanse the areas, but NO SCRUBBING on top of brows. Pat dry, DO NOT WIPE.

  • Always protect the eyebrows from the sun with SPF (AFTER YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE PEELING).

What should be AVOIDED:

  • No swimming, saunas, tanning, or makeup on your brows

  • No heavy exercise, sweat can cause pigments to fade, be cautious with light exercise

  • Do not pick, itch, or pull at the patches that will naturally flake off as it will result in pigment loss

  • Do not use any other ointments, other than the one provided

  • Do not use strong chemicals or glycolic acid/peels of any kind. It may cause the pigment to fade

  • Do not touch your eyebrows with your bare hands as it can transfer other bacteria to the skin

  • Stay away from dusty and dirty areas

What to expect: (Brows can heal anywhere from 7 – 14 days dependent on your skin type)

Days 1 - 3 | Redness, swelling, color may look dark and intense. Whiteness or blanching around the area is normal and will subside within 30 mins to 12 hours. If you find any lymphatic fluid or blood weeping, gently blot dry to remove any moisture.

Days 4 - 8 | Crust will form or may have formed already (scab). Some people may not even go through this process. For some, scabbing or forming of the crust will start to depart/flake off and will appear patchy for the first few days. This is normal & it is important that you do not pick or scratch the skin.

Days 9 - 14 | Color will fade significantly over a two weeks period then resurface back on the third to fourth week.

Days 15 - 30 | Pigment will start to settle in its permanent location while your skin continues to heal. The regeneration of skin will make the color look darker in color.

  • No direct sunlight while healing. After the tattoo has healed, apply SPF daily to keep it protected.

  • It is normal that a liquid sac (lymph build up) forms within the tattoo, this is beneficial to healing.
