FAQs
What’s the difference between Microblading & Ombre & Micro-shading?
Microblading is microincisions of individual hair-like strokes to mimic your brow hairs, giving a fuller look. This is ideal for someone who has sparse brow hair or that is over tweezed and needs to add hair and texture back to the brow for a natural appearance. This style is recommended for those with normal to dry skin. Ombre uses a different technique to create a powdery makeup look. Brows will look softer at the front of the brow and going darker towards the tail creating a bold or softly filled in brows depending on your preference. This is ideal for someone who wants to wake up and go and not have to worry about not having to fill in their brows. This style is suitable for all skin types. Micro-shading is the best of both worlds, having hair-like strokes throughout the brow and shading towards the mid to tail area creating depth and dimension. This ideal for someone who wants to keep it natural, but also not have to do so much to their brows in the morning. This style is recommended for those with normal skin.
How long is the procedure?
Your initial session can take anywhere from 2 - 3 hours. I likely won’t need that much time, but this isn’t something I want to rush into. Touch up sessions can take anywhere from 1 - 2 hours depending on how much work is needed to be done.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time can vary from person to person. Usually, it can take anywhere from 1 - 2 weeks for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. During this time, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions that I’ll be providing after your procedure is done.
Does it hurt?
Pain is minimal and differs from client to client depending on your pain tolerance. Topical anesthetics are used before and throughout the procedure to minimize any discomfort.
How long does it last?
Great question! Microblading can last anywhere from 1 - 3 years whereas Ombre can last anywhere from 1 - 5 years. Now this is also dependent on how well your skin can retain the pigment. Everyone’s skin is different. It is recommended that you get it touched up every year if you want the color to stay fresh.
Can you guarantee your work?
Unfortunately, I can't. How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. Skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, etc. all play a key role in your results, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be required.
